OUR PUBLIC LOTTERY

Under New Hampshire charter school law, when the number of applicants exceeds the number of available student spots, schools are required to conduct an enrollment lottery. Due to the strong interest in Mill Falls since our opening, we have held enrollment lotteries every year since our founding.

Our annual Lottery Enrollment Period runs from early January through early March, with Lottery Day held in mid-March. The 2026 Lottery Enrollment Period has now closed.

Our annual lottery is designed to fill available spots in each of the seven grades we offer across three program levels: Kindergarten, Lower Elementary (grades 1–3), and Upper Elementary (grades 4–6). Applicants who are not awarded a spot through the lottery are placed on a waitlist, organized by grade level and lottery year.

While there are always openings in Kindergarten, other grade levels may not have available seats at the time of the lottery.

As seats become available, families are contacted in waitlist order. Please note that openings may occur at any time during the school year.

    • Anyone interested in enrolling their child/children in our lottery are strongly encouraged to attend one of our Lottery Information Sessions, as Mill Falls Public Montessori Charter School is a unique educational setting.

Lottery 2026

Thanks so much to all who enrolled in the 2026 Lottery and a special thanks to those who helped out. We had 130 applicants in total. Within that group, there are 18 languages besides English spoken, and the students hail from 18 different towns.

This year’s Lottery Official was Lisa Drake, an environmental sustainability professional who works to advance clean energy and climate solutions. She is active in the Manchester community and across New Hampshire through organizations including the New Hampshire Food Bank, The Derryfield School, and New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, and previously served on the Board of Citizens for Manchester Schools. We so appreciate Lisa for taking time to be part of this year’s Lottery.
